Another reporter attacked by police on May 17-th

AMC has gathered evidence that the reporter of ORA NEWS, Elio Laze, was attacked physically by the Albanian Police on May 17th, on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, while reporting live on TV the demolition of the National Theatre.

During the incident the Police hit Mr. Laze with rubber sticks and pepper spray, without an apparent reason. Mr. Laze is an investigative journalist who also does live reporting for ORA NEWS during such events.

The journalist is still suffering physical trauma by the attack.

For the second time this week AMC would like to publicly appeal to the Minister of Interior that the attack on journalists while on duty in a constitutional crime not against an individual but against the freedom of information.
