Ethics “lands” at the Aleksandër Moisiu University

Over 50 students of Communication Sciences at Aleksander Moisiu University of Durres (UAMD) attended a meeting with journalists Alfred Lela and Sokol Shameti.

The meeting was aimed at promoting self-regulation as a concept and as a practice, as well as open debate on ethics and violations of the Code of Ethics.

Students complained of violations commonly encountered in online portals, such as camouflaged advertising or exaggerated or bogus titles (that function as click-baits).

Student Isa K., who also works as a journalist raised the problem that most of the fake news unfortunately come from the government’s propaganda bureaus.

The meeting, as part of the SELFREGULATION – ACT 1, project funded by the European Union, lasted about 2 and a half hours.
